With an increased emphasis on food safety and nutrition around the world, our organic pecans are grown and processed without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Neither our commercial nor our organic pecans are genetically modified.
Several studies suggest organic foods are higher in nutritional value, only adding to the natural nutrition of the pecan, which is high in protein, potassium, iron, calcium and vitamins A, B and C. According to the US Department of Agriculture, pecans are the most antioxidant-rich tree nut and are ranked in the top category of all foods for antioxidants. Recent research also points to pecan consumption as a way to lower cholesterol and aid in weight loss and maintenance.
