SAHUARITA, Ariz. – Green Valley Pecan Company was recognized at the 2018 Sun Corridor Economic Development for the Global Economy (EDGE) event as the top-scoring large-size business in Pima County and as an expert exporter. Deborah Walden-Ralls accepted the award at the event, which was held on April 26, 2018 at Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino.
The EDGE Program’s primary goal is to promote and support businesses active in international trade. Green Valley Pecan Company was featured as one of Arizona’s best success stories in the area of exporting through the Sun Corridor EDGE Program.
“The Walden family has exported agricultural products for well over 50 years; first cotton and currently pecans. Working with programs similar to EDGE have always been a great assistance to our success as exporters,” said Bruce Caris, chief operating officer.
