328 Participants Celebrate Community at 14th Annual Nut Run in Sahuarita
SAHUARITA, AZ (March 28, 2026) — The 14th Annual Nut Run welcomed 328 participants to the pecan orchard in Sahuarita on Saturday, March 28, bringing together runners, walkers, volunteers, and community supporters for a morning of fitness, connection, and giving back.
Set among the scenic rows of pecan trees, the event continues to be a highlight of the Pecan Orchard Running Series, offering participants a unique opportunity to experience the orchard as it comes to life in the spring season.
“The Nut Run is more than just a race—it’s a celebration of community,” said Paula Beemer, event coordinator. “Seeing so many people come together to support local students and organizations is what makes this event so meaningful year after year.”
Proceeds from the event will benefit students from the Sahuarita Unified School District, including the Drama Club and Sahuarita High School Cross Country team, as well as the Green Valley Firefighters Association, whose members also prepared the event’s signature pecan pancake breakfast.
