Farmers Investment Co, (FICO) is organizing the 11th Nut Run 5K/10K on Saturday, April 22, 2023. The event will be held at the FICO Farm, starting on the south side of Sahuarita Rd. The race starts at 8:00 a.m., and registration and bib pickup will open at 7:15 a.m. The Nut Run is open to all ages, only service dogs are allowed on the course.

Participants in the race will get a unique opportunity to explore the farm by running under the trees on dirt roads and trails. The Nut Run will take place during the time when the trees are breaking buds, and runners will be able to appreciate the development of male and female flowers.

Nearly 170 runners are expected to participate in the Nut Run that morning. A portion of their registration fees will benefit the Arizona Poodle Rescue, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that helps Standard Poodles in need. For more information on this organization, please visit their website at www.arizonapoodlerescue.org.

The Nut Run is a great opportunity for running enthusiasts and nature lovers to enjoy a beautiful day outside, get some exercise, and support a good cause. Participants will get to experience the beauty of the farm and appreciate the hard work that goes into cultivating pecans.
